Exit Sign & Emergency Light Service

The proper operation of your Exit Signs and Emergency Lights are critical to ensure that your building’s occupants are able to quickly and safely exit in case of an emergency or power failure. As per NFPA 101, emergency lights are required to illuminate the covered area for at least 90 minutes after the main power supply is disrupted. When emergency lights use a battery backup power supply, it is important to have the lights tested annually to verify the batteries can provide the required 90 minute backup power supply.

Reliable Fire Protection’s trained service technicians can provide the following emergency light services at your facility:

  • Monthly 30 second tests and inspections
  • Annual 90 minute tests and inspection
  • Replace batteries as needed
  • Replace bulbs as needed
  • Provide new replacement exit signs or emergency lights (to be wired by your electrician)
  • Provide written documentation of all inspections and tests to satisfy local code and insurance requirements
